Good idea, poor craftsmanship

This is a great tool when looking at it in the packaging. The bottle cap feature is a nice touch. The size is great. HOWEVER, with how big the spatula surface is, the tang should be the full length of the handle. If you look at my photo, the tang is tiny and only a couple inches long. This makes the handle a very weak point on the spatula and it does not hold up to heavy use. I was cooking on the griddle for New Years Eve, for a large number of people, and I was upset when the spatula failed. I tried using Gorilla tape to remedy, but this did not help. If the tang was full length I think this would be an awesome griddle companion, but unfortunately shortcuts were taken in the production, which you can see here. Bummer.

if it was possible to give this spatula more stars.... I would do it. I absolutly love the spatula, I am cooking on the propane,charcoal, Treager, or the electric smoker, all the time, at least 3,4, time a week. and I have run through countless junk spatulas. this one is the best, most solid, strongest spatula I have ever found. I use it for smashing out burgers super thin, without bending. I love it.

A solid well made spatula, works well with a heavey burger as well as a light smash burger. Also great with fish, pancakes, hashbrowns, and eggs. I'm glad I added this to my collection and I feel it will one of my most used in preparing meals.

Great heavy duty spatula. Not only excellent for burgers as the name suggest, but perfect for flipping big pancakes on the griddle.

Big, tough, wide spatula!

I really do like the spatula! It's very stout looking and feeling when using. Can be used like a dough cutter, only with a handle as a bonus. I debated whether to get the narrower one, but glad I bought the wide one as it seemed more versatile overall.
