Original 28” Griddle with Hard Cover

Really love the griddle. Seasoning it seemed easy enough. Assembly was simple with easy to follow directions. Everything fit tight and without issue. There was an absence of factory seasoning on the griddle when I pulled the label off but that was no problem after I seasoned the grill top. Can’t wait to make breakfast in the morning! The only issue was on the griddle but I’m not sure it’s a problem. It arrived with a tiny scratch or spot where the coating is missing and the raw metal is exposed. I’m not concerned that the cooking will be compromised because it’s not in a prime cooking area however, I wonder if the spot will accelerate rusting or flaking of the griddle surface beyond what would be normal. Perhaps someone from Blackstone will respond to this review and put me at ease about that. Would give it a five star otherwise.

Flooded seasoning directions religiously using Blackstone Seasoning product. Cooked firest breakfast next AM...bacon, hash browns, and scrambled eggs. I need practice. However, notice egg mixture running away from center of griddle. It appears bowed in the center. Hoping this is temporary and will alleviate with time?

This Blackstone Griddle is job security for feeding my boys. Love the surface space, the speed that griddle heats up and the evenness of the cooking. Nothing falls through the cracks on this bad boy. Love it!!!

I've used other Blackstones for church functions and such and have thoroughly enjoyed using them. I've expressed I've wanted one for myself to change the smoker/grill routine... well, my kids surprised me for Father's Day and got me my own!! Getting ready to cook on it this weekend now that it's seasoned in and ready to go!!

This is my second Blackstone first was probably 2014, 48 inch. Cooked a lot of food on it. I told my handy man I was think about replacing it he bought for 50 bucks, it’s still cooking. Purchased a new 28 inch a couple of weeks ago, fits on our patio better. Hope it is trouble free like the original.
