Pizza Oven Cover

This is a great pizza oven and although expensive, it’s worth the money to me to make restaurant style pizza at home. The design looks sound and it works as advertised. It does take some practice getting the results you want but it’s definitely obtainable. Customer service even added the accessory kit after I missed their special by one day. I called and they sent it to me no questions asked. I look forward to many years of use while I perfect my recipes.

Received my pizza oven promptly, after ordering it directly from Blackstone. The packaging was first-class and all parts were snugly packed in Styrofoam. Assembly took a couple hours and instructions were mostly clear, but would be a bit challenging for non DIY'ers. The fastener contents were missing item #30: 4 M6x12 socket head bolts (for attaching the side handles). Had to go find those at Lowes for $5. Guess I could've contacted Blackstone for replacement, but was already in the middle of assembly and did not want to wait on them. First cook impressions: We were very impressed with with how evenly the pizzas cooked -top and bottom. This is probably due to having both a lower and upper pizza stone design. Ingenious! Also, the rotating lower stone design is an awesome idea, and it worked perfectly. No burnt areas, and the entire pizza was evenly browned. I do use Antimo Caputo 00 pizzeria flour (the blue bag), which is formulated for high temperature pizza ovens. The speed of the cook was also excellent. Seemed like it was just 3 or 4 minutes, maybe less. Oh...and the oven was ready to go in about 15 minutes after lighting. Prior to purchasing the Blackstone Oven, we cooked pizza on a Big Green Egg, and constantly had to adjust for uneven top and bottom cooking, as well as frequently turning the pizza manually with a peel. Not to mention that it was a 45 minute wait for the temperature to get up to an 800 degree cook. As I mentioned in a prior review here, I've been researching gas pizza ovens for over a year hoping to find the perfect combination of features, quality and price. The Blackstone model 6825 is a great choice, and we look forward to our next pizza cook!

Prefect cover for our pizza oven. Sturdy, easy on and off the zipper allows ease of use.

We purchased our new Blackstone Pizza Oven and we could not be happier. It is sturdy, well built, and user friendly. I love the height of the oven opening, you can easily see your pizza cooking. It heats up fast, pizza cook so quickly. We are very happy with the cover for our pizza oven, it has a zipper on the side that makes it easy to put on. It will definitely keep the oven clean and dust free between uses. We are excited to try other items in our oven. I was grateful they came out with a new oven.

The pizza oven itself is wonderful. I enjoy the large opening, and I especially love the turning disk to allow all areas of the pizza to cook evenly. The height is nice for me (I am 5'4") so I am not bending over trying to look in, hold the pizza peel, and turn the pizza. I appreciate the sturdy wheels with locks, and the ability to plug in the oven if I wanted to do so, although I have chosen to use the battery pack. The pizza peel holder is a very nice addition. I love that it can hold the peel so I don't have to store it in doors, and as a left handed person, I certainly appreciate the flexibility of being able to move the holder to either side of the stand. The oven cooks great, and we are making some fabulous pizzas, jalapeno poppers, and steak! However,...the instructions are terrible!!! There are many holes in the instructions that create the possibility of having to take apart and redo in several areas. The pictures are simply not sufficient as to tell what directions pieces should face, etc. As a farm girl, I am really good with tools, so this was NOT the issue. Two different parts of my oven stand were bent (and seemed less sturdy than I would have expected), but I was able to rebend them almost back to their original shapes. I also was missing eight crucial bolts, so I had to go to my local building supply store to buy my own. I know I could have contacted Blackstone customer service, but that would have taken much longer to get the bolts than simply going to buy them myself. I am also having an issue with lighting the oven. It simply won't light itself. I am having to do it manually ever time. When I contacted Blackstone customer service, they suggested I do several things; however, I have already tried all those options, and it still won't light. I responded as such to them, and I have not heard back with any helpful or further options.

I purchased this with the pizza oven and think it is a great purchase. The cover fits perfectly and the material seems to be good. Only suggestion is it could use outside handles to help move it around. The four swivel casters make it challenging to maneuver the pizza cart around my back yard.
