Nothing like a Blackstone

Came by courier, was kinda surprised, when opened the box, already assembled, scuffed and marks, which lead me to believe, a returned Blackstone, refurbished for new pricing, started it up, worked fine, other than the scuff marks, product is as expected

Nice Griddle

Perfect size for empty nesters whom enjoy all the different ways of cooking. Made my own cover on day one. Then made a wind screen out of 3 flaps from the shipping box. Gets plenty hot until you load it up all at once with cold food. Then it does take a while to get back up to temperature. I'm a newbie so it will take a couple of tries to figure out the temperature thing. Tried bacon first and that went well. Next tried a couple frozen burger patties and with the addition of a ThermaPen instant read I was able to cook perfect medium burgers. Next on my list was hash brown potatoes and fried eggs. I used dehydrated potatoes which were too wet but still came out very good. Just took a while. The fried eggs, sunny side up were amazing. I have a laser temp gun to help me move the eggs around on the flat top to hot spots. I am impressed.

Great but not quite hot enough

I purchased a 17 inch Blackstone while I love it I don't think it gets quite hot enough. During the initial setup no matter how long I left it on the oil never smoked like it tells you to do for seasoning. I used the seasoning oil that was suggested and it just never ended up smoking at all. While the grill does work well, I find it takes quite some time to cook things while the bigger grills seem to cook quite quickly. half an hour to cook bacon on the grill where my friend has a 28 in and Cooks bacon and things in just minutes so while I love it I wish I had gotten the bigger one so that it would get actually hot enough for fast cooking.

Just received my new Blackstone 17" Griddle. I purchased the Blackstone Griddle Stand so as to have a perfect secure fit for safety, and of course, it looks good!
