I did not realize how hot my flattop plate was until I started to take a temperature. I now have better control and it did make a difference as to food cooking like I wanted. Easy to use has a nice feel to hold. I highly recommend temperature gun to have a more consistent temp on your flattop. Also I noticed my lp gas consumption has lessened.
