My first ever Blackstone and first griddle

Got this from wife for combination birthday/fathers day. This is my first BlackStone and is my first time using a griddle. Ordered direct from BlackStone. Received the box in good condition. It was easy to unpack and assemble. I put it on a portable folding table I got online. Seasoning went well and my first cook afterwards did too...pork chops, bacon, & eggs. I will be using this a lot! Appears to be extremely versitile. Definitely worth it! It is sturdy and of very good quality. I am using 1 pound bottles now but will switch to the 20 pound tank soon.

Bought it for our hunting “lodge.” It was a huge hit! Smash burgers, breakfast burritos and more. The 22” size is perfect for cooking for 4-6 people.

Box was perfect! Everything involved was great until I had to remove the paper and plastic protecting the griddle. While trying to remove the griddle to remove the paper and plastic underneath I saw the bolts connecting to the hood were partially stripped. I would refer to this as a quality control issue. Once bolts were removed I discovered locking nut was missing from one of the bolts. Another quality control issue. Overall everything is still functional but is concerning.

This is our 2nd 22" Blackstone Griddle. The first was for home and then we got the Omnivore Griddle for Camping. We just LOVE it! The built in wind guards are perfect! Excellent and fast, even heating. SOOOO easy to clean. The perfect griddle for cooking at camp. No need to use a sink or soap when cleaning it. Just steam it clean with water and paper towels and then a light coat of seasoning oil and its like new in just a couple of minutes. Best camp cooking appliance ever!! And now with two 22" griddles we can cook for a crowd at home too!
